JOHN WALLIS FUNERAL

Funeral services for John Walter Wallis, 77, who died Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Anderson, Pass Road, were held Thursday afternoon from Riemann’s Chapel.

Rev. J. P. Nix, pastor of Handsboro Methodist Church, officiated. Mrs. Knox Ramsay sang Sweet Hour of Prayer, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. E. T. Riemann Sr.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery with John Payne, L. W. Scott, R. H. Lynn, Everett Hatten, E. E. Lott and W. J. Foeffler acting as pallbearers.

JOSEPH H. WALLIS

Joseph Henry Wallis, 80, died at 4 p.m. yesterday at his residence at 3507 Del Rio street. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Rose-Neath chapel with the Rev. Lothar Kleinhans, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in Centuries Park.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. J. H. Wallis of Shreveport; two sons, C. G. Wallis of Clearwater, Fla., and I. L. Wallis of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Minette Meyer of Shreveport and Mrs. Dick Middleton of Shreveport; a brother, John W. Wallis of Gulfport, Miss.; and three grandchildren.
