Death of Harold Wallace Wallbank, 1974

Harold Wallbank, ex-councilman

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Harold Wallace Wallbank, 73, of West Palm Beach, formerly a Watchung, N.J., councilman, died Thursday (Oct. 31, 1974) in a Lake Worth hospital.

He had resided in Florida for about 10 years after retiring from the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co., where he had been employed for 44 years.

Mr. Wallbank served on the Watchung council for 12 years, resigning in September, 1958, in what he termed then “a step to eventual retirement.” He was a defeated primary candidate for Watchung mayor in 1956.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Wallbank; a daughter, Mrs. Suzanne Rowland of Westfield, N.J.; a son, Clinton G. of Cincinnati; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Lundmark of Bridgeport, Conn.; and five grandchildren.
